Check installation first
Neutral required on most models — missing neutral causes odd join behavior. Breaker off during wiring checks. Box depth and heat within Leviton specs. Not on circuits with incompatible smart-bulb mix if manual warns.
Network and hub
2.4 GHz for commissioning phone and hub. Wire Apple TV or Nest to Ethernet. Update Leviton app then hub firmware. Remove partial dimmer from Home; air-gap breaker thirty seconds; single recommission attempt.
Verify
Dimmer ramps from hub app; hub reboot does not return to verification screen.
